MFGA Members- Spring Consumer Promotion
PDF File for your use
“May is Massachusetts Spring Flower Month”
About the Program: The Massachusetts Flower Growers’ Association has developed a consumer promotional program for the month of May to help our members sell our flower products. May is the most important month for sales in our industry so we are going to highlight our products during May and emphasize to consumers that now is the time to buy plants for their exterior home decorating, landscaping, gardening projects and special events. This is how it will work.
We have a specially designed 3’ x 5’ banner that every retail member will receive free the week of May 2 to prominently display for your business. The PDF file is included here
To announce this promotion to the public we have organized a public relations event and news release to let the public know about the importance of May and of supporting our local garden centers. We will have an official Proclamation from the Governor’s office that will designate “May is Massachusetts Spring Flower Month.” Massachusetts Agriculture Commissioner Scott Soares will read and present the Proclamation to the MFGA at a special “kick-off” presentation on May 4 at 11 am at Russell’s Garden Center in Wayland, MA. We will simultaneously send out a news release to local and regional newspapers, radio, TV and other media within Massachusetts.
Making the program work for you
- We ask that you display the banner prominently at your retail business. It is colorful and highlights the importance of May for our plant products.
- We have a PDF file here, of the banner design, so that you can use in your own local advertising, website, facebook or other promotional materials. Use it. Bring attention to our abundance of beautiful plant products and your services
- Create an Event of Your Own -to promote spring plant sales and utilize this campaign to help promote your business in May.
We hope this program will help your business sell our plant products during this upcoming spring season. If you have any questions, call our Association office 781-275-4811 or email bluczai@massflowergrowers.com.
